wellness out east
in the summer I try to move my body as much as I can outside. I love to curate the wellness programming at Hero Beach Club because their vast lawn looks onto the ocean. over the years I have cultivated some epic wellness gems from watermill to montauk that I always look forward to visiting.
W E L L N E S S
Hero Beach Club - montauk
one of my favorite beach hotels. being able to wake up steps from the ocean is always special, and relaxed vibes are taken to a whole other level with their infrared sauna, pool and wellness amenities. the wellness program this summer includes Forward__Space, Dogpound, Soto Method, DanceBody, MadMethod, pilates and more!
Casa Wellness Studio - at home service
Casa Wellness Studio is a private, Whole Body EMS (WB-EMS) training service that just launched at home sessions in the hamptons this summer. EMS, or Electronic Muscle Stimulation, is an FDA-cleared technology (a suit that you put on) while performing low impact exercises, think mat pilates. While doing those small movements the vest delivers gentle impulses to targeted muscle groups causing them to contract up to 100 times per second. In just one, 20 minute session per week, you get a 2+ hour equivalent workout.
NutriDrip by Clean Market - Gurney’s Montauk Resort & Seawater Spa montauk
I love to get IVs to optimize my health and also keep me healthy. my go-to spot in the city for iv therapy is the Clean Market so it's very exciting that they are doing a summer pop up at Gurneys. they have a lounge in the spa but you can also do it in your hotel room.
OraSpace - in-home
ORA is a luxury acupuncture space in NYC and they have an at-home service in The Hamptons. I am a big fan of acupuncture for inflammation, stress and pain. it's an added bonus to get to do it outside in the warm weather.
Naturopathica Spa & Healing Center - east hampton + hero beach club
great spot for a facial out east. the therapists are so knowledgeable, and the setting is very relaxing. the massage therapists are now available on weekends at Hero Beach Club as well.
Rasa Pilates - east hampton
A private pilates studio where all of the teachers have a physical therapy background is something I really appreciate and even more post injury. Founder Rasa was a dance teacher in Lithuania before moving to the US, straight to east hampton, where her studio has been thriving ever since. Bonus: one of my favorite pilates teachers, Beth Rodbell, also teaches here in the summer.
Onda Beauty - sag harbor
by far my favorite stop for clean beauty. I love the curation here and this location has a small outdoor garden in the back which makes it so special. the facials there are heaven!
Hearty - sag harbor & virtual at home service
this members only service brings together some of the best doctors in the world with a tech-enabled longevity health system. David Lu, MD and Frank Lipman, MD are part of the founding team and use the latest science to help fight unhealthy aging.
Knockout Beauty - bridgehampton
they carry all of the brands I love and do facial treatments as well. Caryli, the founder, does such a great job with the buy here.
Shou Sugi Ban House - water mill
I love the hydrotherapy plunge pools here. the cold plunge reduces inflammation and boosts your metabolism. they also have an infrared sauna, dry sauna, steam room and treatment rooms. this place is an incredible spot to reset your body and mind with yoga and south bath healing too.
Organic Edge - water mill
if you don't know Shannon from Organic Edge, you are missing out. she is truly a healer. I discovered her colonics last summer and they have been life changing for my gut. Organic Edge uses FDA registered equipment and only has I-ACT Certified Therapists employed (something very hard to find in the word of clonics). all of their equipment is sterilized, nozzles are disposable, and their water is treated with an effective multi-stage filtration system to ensure only pure warm water reaches you. they also offer infrared wellness pods, cryotherapy, emsculpt and I-ACT certification classes.
